The Wycliffe College Alumni/ae Association was established to affirm and promote Wycliffe’s Six Principles and to unite alumni/ae in Christian fellowship. Working closely with the Development Office of the College, the executive committee of the Association undertakes various programs and projects to support alumni/ae in their ministries and also to financially assist current students through bursaries and other means. We produce the Alumni/ae Newsletter and assist with Refresh! or another form of annual conference. Through these various ways, it is our aim to help all graduates maintain a strong relationship with the College and its traditions as well as with one another.
This year we are holding the first Morning Star Seminar which we hope to sponsor annually in different parts of Canada. Designed as an element of continuing education for alumni/ae, the Seminar this October will be led by Professor Ephraim Radner on the topic of Calvin’s Commentary on Ephesians. We will also begin regular discussion blogs on faculty-selected books. The first of these will be led by Professor Joseph Mangina on Stanley Hauerwas’s Hannah’s Child: A Theologican’s Memoir. It is our objective this year to begin other projects which will enable better communications that we hope will become interactive.
As alumni/ae, you are encouraged to promote the College, its academic excellence and its evangelical emphasis, especially to prospective students. Please make that part of your ministry.
Your financial support is also vital in helping our students as they are trained and equipped to be Christian leaders. We appreciate your personal gifts and those from your congregations. Thank you!
