Welcome to Wycliffe College

Dear Friends, 

Greetings in Christ and Happy New Year! This past month I had a chance to travel in South Korea to learn more about the Church there and to make new friends for the College.  I had a chance to be introduced to scholars in religious studies at the venerable Yonsei and Ewha Womens’ Universities. I also visited Torch Trinity Graduate School, Presbyterian University and Seminary, and Kosin University. In connection with the last I preached at the historically significant Samil Presbyterian Church in Busan whence one of the Presbyterian Churches was established (see picture). Finally I had a chance to visit the International Mission Research Centre led by Dr. Steve Moon, whom I met this past August in IAMS.  

This was also a chance to see our daughter Marta,who is teaching English in Busan. We travelled to Vietnam for a vacation with her. There I had a chance to meet the newly ordained priest of the Anglican church plant in Hanoi, Jacob Vu, who with his wife runs an English learning centre as well (See picture). His is an example of new and exciting evangelistic work growing out of the training centre of Trinity, Singapore, with whom we have a partnership. We pray that these connections may grow in the coming years.
