  • The God of the Gospel: Systematic Theology I
  • The Church, the Faith, and Our World

Free Electives (5 credits)

  • Students can take up to 5 free electives from Wycliffe College or any other member college in the Toronto School of Theology.

Eligibility

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 (or equivalent).

English proficiency

Students who have not completed a previous degree in English must demonstrate proficiency through a recognized language exam. For more information, see our international students page or contact our admissions office.

Application deadlines*

June 30 – for a Fall start (September)
October 31 – for a Winter start (January)

*International applicants are encouraged to apply at least eight weeks before the posted deadlines to ensure adequate time for processing study permits. 

Domestic DipCS Fees (2023-2024)

  • Tuition per course: $602.00
  • Full-time ancillary fee (4 or more courses): $316.13 per term
  • Part-time ancillary fee (3 or fewer courses): $151.51 per term

International DipCS Fees (2023-2024)

  • Tuition per course: $2739.00
  • Full-time ancillary fee (4 or more courses): $316.13 per term
  • Part-time ancillary fee (3 or fewer courses): $151.51 per term
  • University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP): $756.00 per academic year

Flexible learning

  • The DipCS can be completed in one year of full-time study or up to six years of part-time study.
  • Students may switch between full-time and part-time formats by term.
  • Online, summer, and intensive courses are regularly offered.

Graduates of the DipCS often use their studies to think and act more theologically within their current ministries or other personal and professional contexts. Others have used their Diploma as training for the Anglican Diaconate or other ecclesial vocations for which a master's degree is not required.

Students who have partially completed the Diploma in Christian Studies and wish to transfer into a longer program may be able to count their completed Diploma credits toward such a program. Note that this transfer must be made before completing the Diploma.
