Student Governance

Student Governance

The two student governments are the Students' Council, elected by Professional Graduate Degree students and Wycliffe Residents; and the Executive of the Wycliffe Graduate Society, elected by Academic Graduate Degree students. The two student governments sponsor a variety of programs including social events, athletic competition, guest lecturers, community discussions, and outreach projects. They also appoint representatives to College, the Toronto School of Theology, and University committees, and act as a liaison between students and other constituencies of the College.

Wycliffe College Student Council

Wycliffe is proud each year to support a talented and unflagging group of volunteers who serve on Wycliffe's student council. Student council events range from discussion lectures on contemporary topics to virtual games nights. Watch for student elections in the spring and fall, and check your email for meetings and events!

You may reach out to the student council at wycliffestudentcouncil@gmail.com. The 2025-2026 Senior Student is Ellen Kelly.

Wycliffe Graduate Society

The Wycliffe Graduate Society (WGS) exists to support the academic, social and spiritual community of Academic Graduate Degree students (i.e. those in MA., ThM., ThD./PhD, or DMin programs), by representing the needs and concerns of the student body, and by sponsoring various formal and informal events throughout the year. It is headed up by two WGS co-coordinators, who are elected in off-setting years by WGS members.

The current WGS co-coordinators are Scott Mason 2024-2026 and Ejay Tupe 2025-2027. They may be reached at wycliffegradsociety@gmail.com.
