Wycliffe College and Emmaus Educational Tours have teamed up to offer a truly extraordinary educational pilgrimage to Israel for its students, along with friends and family in sympathy with Wycliffe’s mission. Join Old Testament scholar and Wycliffe faculty member Dr Glen Taylor as we explore Israel with the expertise of licensed guide and New Testament Professor Dr Stephen Notley, author of the Carta Atlas of the New Testament. (There is probably no one alive today more familiar with the land, history and geography of the world of Jesus than our guide, Dr Notley.)
Over an intense ten-day period we will see many of the places in the Bible that you have read and heard about for so long: Bethlehem, Nazareth, Capernaum, Beersheba, and Jerusalem, to name just a few. Celebrate the Eucharist on the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea of Galilee, walk on the same stone pavement as Jesus when he entered the temple, stand where David took his stand against the Philistine giant Goliath, ride on a boat across the Sea of Galilee, etc!
The dates are February 15th to 27th, 2017. The cost, not including air-fare (which you are free to arrange after confirming the trip’s viability), is $3085. As the time is short and spaces are filling, please register ASAP by going to emmausonline.net and finding “Tours”, “Wycliffe 2017”.
We stay in luxury accommodations offering excellent meals and travel in a modern, comfortable bus. Our pace will be brisk while on tour during the day, but there will be time to relax in the evenings and to shop and rest on a day off in Jerusalem near the end of the trip.
