In her own words: Wycliffe’s new principal on settling in at Wycliffe College

What are you most looking forward to in this role at Wycliffe?

With my new role, I’m delighted to be returning to my Anglican roots as I join the rich, vibrant theological community of Wycliffe College. I love that as a family we will be living in the Lodge so that we can participate in the rhythms of the College’s life together. I’ve already met several committed, passionate Alumni of Wycliffe serving the church and contributing to God’s world in many different ways and locations; I look forward to meeting more Alumni and getting to know them deeply so I can learn from their experiences at Wycliffe and beyond.

What have you learned so far?

So far I have learned that the food at Acacia Café is exceptionally good – I imagine my family will be eating at the refectory regularly!

What are your early priorities?

My early priorities for my time at Wycliffe include praying regularly for the community of Wycliffe, intentionally seeking God’s wisdom for our life together as I listen to members of the Wycliffe community, and members of the wider church and community, and gaining clarity on how we can best steward the legacy and embody the mission of Wycliffe College in this next season. More concretely, in conjunction with others in the Wycliffe community, I will be focused on continuing to develop enrollment pathways, cultivating financial resources to ensure sustainability, and moving towards a strategic planning process.

How can the Wycliffe community be praying for you?

I would welcome prayers for my family as we make the transition to Toronto. I would also be grateful for prayers that the Holy Spirit will give me wisdom and clarity as I step into my new role, and that Wycliffe College will continue to be faithful to its mission to be a community of faith and learning that offers transformative learning for Christ’s global church and the world, all to the glory of God.
