Scripture and Theology Colloquium - May 16, 2025: Psalms - Songs of Praise...or Theology?

The Psalms have functioned as the prayerbook of the Jewish and Christian traditions for thousands of years. But what if the Psalms have a role to play, not just in our devotional and liturgical lives, but also in our efforts to articulate a broader biblical theology?
At this Colloquium, we have a group of world-class scholars ready to share their latest research on the Psalms from both Jewish and Christian perspectives. This event is designed for all theologically-minded people: graduate students, academics, rabbis, pastors, and anyone interested in teaching and preaching from the Psalter.

Wycliffe College Blog

Vestigia Dei  – is a Latin term meaning “traces of God.” As a theological term it is associated with natural theology – that is, the view that there are vestiges of God within creation. We’ve chosen this term as the title of the Wycliffe College blog because our hope is that through these writings, readers might glimpse evidences for God as our writers interact with the wider world.

Dae-Eun Kim, MA student
This program has given me structure and motivation to explore a ministry-related problem and challenged me to go deeper than by following a self-directed course of study.
Stephanie Douglas, DMin student
I’ve grown in the way I read God’s word. I was missing some things crucial for understanding, and for appreciating the beauty and purity of the text.
