Wycliffe College's Six-Year Strategic Plan calls for the appointment of an Academic Dean to advance the College's academic goals. Professor of Proclamation, Worship and Ministry, Peter Robinson contributed significantly to crafting those goals, which, when combined with his natural aptitudes, made him an obvious choice for the position. Congratulations to Kira Moolman, a conjoint PhD student at Wycliffe College, for receiving the Margaret E. Fleck Scholarship from Toronto School of Theology. Established in 2006 by the Board of Trustees in honour of the Reverend Margaret E. Fleck, an Anglican priest and divinity graduate of Trinity College, and former member of the TST Board of Trustees. The award is funded by a gift of the Ralph M. Barford Foundation along with matching funds from the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS). The Wycliffe Community is deeply saddened to learn of the death of The Reverend Dr A. Leonard Griffith. Professor Griffith was one of Canada’s premier preachers with a global reputation, and it was Wycliffe’s great honour to have him teach homiletics at the College from 1977 until his retirement in 1986. During that time he preached at St Paul’s, Bloor Street. He had served in United Church congregations in Grimsby, Ottawa and Toronto (Deer Park). Wycliffe College welcomes applications for summer residence from university students (including those working as interns full-time for the summer), visiting scholars, clergy/missionaries, and on occasion, short-term visitors to Toronto. In our 120-year old historical building, we have 75 single-occupancy rooms on two floors (one for men, one for women). This year, the summer residence period runs from Wednesday, May 1, 2019 until Friday, August 23, 2019. This is a firm move-out date for the end of summer. Adverse Weather: Cancellation of Classes Update on Feb 12, 2019, 12:00 p.m. - Wycliffe College follows the UofT St. George campus in closing due to inclement weather. Due to worsening conditions, all classes started at 4 pm or later will be cancelled at Wycliffe College. Evensong at 5:30 pm will continue as usual in the Chapel for those living in the building.
